Your buyers are asking AI. It's naming someone else.
When engineers and procurement teams ask Google, ChatGPT or Gemini which manufacturers to consider, the answer names two or three companies. We measure whether yours is one of them, and identify what has to change if it isn't.
Six systems · Real buyer questions · Competitor comparison
This is the shortlist your analytics cannot see
One real answer, captured and dated. ChatGPT and Gemini require your buyer to choose AI. Google answers with AI whether he chose it or not — which is why the exposure is larger than most manufacturers assume.

Eleven manufacturers named, four shortlisted, and every one a large multinational. No mid-sized specialist appears anywhere in the answer.
One capture is one question. We are measuring the whole category.
Nobody is measuring which suppliers AI systems name in industrial equipment, so the figures do not exist until someone produces them. The VerityNodes AI Visibility Index asks ten to twenty buyer questions across all six systems on one stated date, records every company named — client or not — and publishes the full question set so anyone can repeat it and check.
The first edition covers end-of-line packaging machinery and is in development.
See how an edition is madeYou don’t lose the enquiry. You lose consideration before the enquiry exists.
Traffic looks normal. Rankings look fine. The agency report is green. Nothing in your reporting will show this.
A buyer who never considers you never visits you. No session, no referrer, no search term, no bounce — nothing for analytics to record, because nothing happened. The first sign is a quiet quarter with no obvious cause.
That is what makes this dangerous rather than merely new. It is invisible from inside the business.
Why this is happeningWe publish what we measure
The AI Visibility Index, Edition 01. Case packing and palletizing, measured between 1 and 15 September 2026.
- 23 manufacturers
- 50 buyer questions
- Five AI systems
- 2,741 observations
Across those observations, a company was named in 10.6% of answers. Five of the 23 were never named once. The highest score in the category reached a third of the available total.
Where a company was named, only 34 of 291 mentions rested on an independent source. The rest cited the company’s own website, or nothing at all.
Absence, not misdescription, is the problem in this category.
The full question set is published with the edition, so anyone can repeat it.

Built initially for end-of-line packaging machinery — where machines are complex, purchases are infrequent, sales cycles run for months, and buyers research suppliers long before they contact anyone.

We would rather understand three markets properly than publish pages about twenty we barely know. If you sell something comparable and your market is not listed, the method applies unchanged.
IndustriesWhat we measure
Six things, on the questions your buyers actually ask.
- AI Visibility — how often you appear at all
- AI Recommendation — how often you are put forward as worth considering
- AI Position — where you sit relative to the suppliers named alongside you
- Entity Accuracy — whether what AI says about you is correct
- Citation Presence — whether the answer cites any source for it
- Citation Authority — how strong those sources are
Not brand searches. Not keyword rankings. The questions a buyer types when he does not yet know who to call.
And how we improve it
Baseline
We establish what AI currently says about you, your competitors and the questions your buyers ask.
Map
We map the questions, products, capabilities and evidence that shape your category, and find where you are missing from it.
Build
We strengthen the pages, structure and information AI systems can retrieve and connect.
Prove
We build independent corroboration around the facts that matter, on sources outside your own website.
Track
We re-test the same questions and measure whether your visibility, recommendation and position are moving.
It takes four to six months before the numbers move. We say that before you engage us, not after.
See the methodRun by someone who has sat on your side of the table
Every engagement is run by Aqeel Abbas, who spent thirty years selling complex, regulated equipment into more than 65 countries before building this method.
Different product, identical sale. Technical, regulated, bought by a committee over months, and chosen from a shortlist drawn up long before anyone picks up the phone. The questions are written by someone who has answered them.
AboutStart with the measurement
The AI Visibility Audit is a three-week diagnostic. We agree the questions with you, run them across every major AI system, and show you exactly what comes back — for you and for the competitors you name.
Your questions. Their answers. Written down.
- Three weeks
- 30–50 buyer questions
- Six AI systems
- Up to five competitors
- Written report and 90-minute findings session
Questions
What does an AI search visibility consultancy do?
We measure how often AI systems name your company when buyers ask who to buy from, and we build the evidence those systems need to describe and recommend you accurately. The measurement comes first. An AI Visibility Audit tests 30 to 50 real buyer questions across six AI systems and records what comes back, for you and for the competitors you name.
How do I get my company mentioned by AI?
There is no setting to switch on. AI systems synthesise information from the sources they can retrieve and weigh, so the work is to establish clear first-party information and independent corroboration, then re-test the same questions and see whether the answers change. What appearing actually consists of is set out in what AI visibility actually means.
How do I stop losing leads to AI search?
Find out first whether you are losing them. The audit shows which buyer questions name you, which name a competitor, and where the gap sits. You cannot fix a shortlist you have never seen.
Is this the same as a GEO agency?
Generative engine optimisation, or GEO, is one of the methods we use. It is not what we sell. What we sell is measurement: a written record of how six AI systems answer your buyers' questions, and the work to improve what those answers say. The term itself is explained in our knowledge base.
